School-based Assessments
A psychoeducational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of a student’s cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning. These evaluations determine if a student is eligible for special education. Additionally, psycho-educational evaluations inform the delivery and type of related services your student will receive. Psychoeducational evaluations are standardized. This means the student’s scores are compared to typical students of the same age and grade.
Comprehensive evaluations include cognitive, academic, auditory, and visual processing, memory, and executive function.
Behavioral Assessment
Behavioral assessments help in understanding a student's behavior patterns, the triggers for specific behaviors, and the underlying causes of such behaviors.

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA).
-
Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP): Based on the insights from an FBA, a BIP is developed.
School-Neuropsychological Assessment
School-Neuropsychological evaluations delve deeper into how a student’s brain functions, identifying strengths and weaknesses that can impact learning and behavior. The blend between educational and neuropsychological foundations is an essential knowledge base for school neuropsychologists. School neuropsychology is not limited to assessment and diagnosis. Linking assessment with evidenced-based interventions is an important focus for school neuropsychologists.
Independent Educational Evaluation
An Independent Educational Evaluation is an evaluation conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by the student's school district. It provides an assessment of a student’s needs and can be used as a second opinion if parents disagree with the results of the school’s evaluations.
